That's great and all, but shouldn't it be Jewish Ken, not Barbie? Frum Barbie wouldn't lay Tefilin, wear a Tallit, or read from the Torah!

I agree. That was the first thought that came to my mind.

Feminism says Barbie can be a Rabbi with no questions asked. The Shul in my town has a female Rabbi. I say HECK YEAH!!! I WANT ONE!!!!

Rona, Feminism is nice and all, but
a - JUDAISM, which, after all, is what being frum is about, says no lady rabbis.

b - If you're such a feminist, why do you only value the masculine, external role? A woman has her own important role to play, she doesn't need to be doing what the men do to prove her value.

"A woman's value comes not from how many heads she can turn, but how many minds and hearts she can turn" - Tziporah Heller

Women affect the world from the inside, which may take longer, but is certainly longer lasting than establishing/imposing external boundaries.

At the end of the day, BOTH are necessary. That's why G-d created us DIFFERENT.
